Children's health and nutrition has an obvious great value. The better the food options we put into our youth the happier and healthier they will be.
- Breakfast – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A good breakfast contains carbohydrates e.g. porridge with some protein e.g. milk.
- Lunch – Lunch will include some protein e.g. eggs or chicken.
- Evening meal – Carbohydrates like pasta or rice are good at supper time as they will help your child fill full until breakfast the next morning.
- Snacks - Snacks for kids should be as nutritious as possible, encourage them to eat fruit or vegetables. Sugary snacks are okay as a treat occasionally. Encourage your child to drink plenty of liquids, especially water rather than sugary drinks.
